100% to Charity

Your cheque is made out to the chosen charity, not to 100+ Women. 100% of your donation goes directly to them.

Whether you’re a professional, a retiree, new to the area or a long-term resident, our meetings are a great way to meet and network.

My long history with fund-raising for various worthy causes is that perhaps 10-20% of the amount of money and time I invest actually reaches “the target.” With “100 Women who Care,” there is a strong commitment to not squandering my time. I am in and out of the meeting (4 a year) in a little over an hour. We focus on the essentials: the always inspiring but brief (5 minutes) presentations by each of the 3 groups seeking financial assistance for their worthy causes, followed by a vote. And for every $100 I spend, $100 goes to the chosen charity or group. You can’t beat that! It pleases me enormously that the good souls doing the wonderful work they do in our community are able to focus on that instead of spending their valuable time and energies trying first to raise the necessary money, one bake sale at a time. On a personal level, it is an opportunity for me to meet and connect with some wnderful women. In every way, “100 Women who Care” is “community at its best”!

100 Women Who Care Member
Joining the 100+ Women Who Care has been an amazing experience. I've met women from all over the valley region of NS. I've been able to participate in a kind of generous giving that has an enormous impact, far bigger than anything I could do individually. And for small local charities, fundraising on this level is usually extremely difficult.
